I believe this is NOS and made by Volvo (not homeade, as two of them exist)

critique away!

I have couple of sets NOS of the Volvo Bosch headlights euro style for the 164 and 240 series.
They are slightly larger than the 7" ones used in North America and require larger headlight rings and housing components. I have the larger rings, but still am looking for the rest of the components to mount them in my 77 242 GL restoration.
As you can see in the photos, the euro ones are not that much wider in diameter, but they are quite a bit deeper and have much more reflecting surface.

wow very cool. im wondering how bright of a bulb i can use in these old housings.
I would have no trouble running an 80/100 bulb as I have run them in my small rectangular headlights on my 84 240. Just install a relay and don't leave the headlights on for periods of time with the car parked as there is no cooling of the glass when you are not driving.

Not really a Volvo specific part but it has a 240 in the example pic.
Had been looking for a set of these for a while and when I saw the pic I had to have it.

BRAKEWARNINGLIGHTS IN EYE LEVEL, haha.

These were really common on cars here in the 70's and 80's before cars had a third brake light.
I'm going to use these on my '75 242. In this day and age when all cars have super bright brake lights don't want to rely on the two factory lights only and this is the most period correct.
