Is there anything special I should do when replacing a knock sensor other than unbolting old one and bolting on new one?
Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!

Yes. Don't.
Tighter doesn't increase the sensitivity. I can't find my notes but I played with torque on the sensor a while back watching with a scope.
It?s a piezo, so it will output a DC voltage when its deformed. Over tightening it will cause a rise in the baseline of the signal and make it less sensitive. Under tightening it could result in it falling off.
