Man, what a weekend. I had a truly great time, and I hope everyone else did too. I'm looking forward to seeing some more photos.

Some of us arrived on Thursday and woke up to a beautiful foggy Friday morning:

We made breakfast

And then went on a short drive, interrupted by a wreck on US74. We waited for a bit while MAMA came and picked up the victim. Unfortunate circumstances, but still cool to see a helicopter land on the highway right in front of you.

Friday evening, most everyone else showed up, with the Gump crew actually experiencing a (minor) breakdown, much to Mr.Bill's delight.

JohnMC arrived from STL, as did Eamonn and Rob from CLT. Kyle and Alden making guest appearances.

Peter and Morgan came in from NJ, and I managed to get a shot of Chef Wren. Big thanks to him for throwing down on biscuits, fries, and other stuff.

The OG SE crew

Kenny started playing with fire for some reason.

The rest of that night was kind of a blur. Next AM, breakfast was had on the 240 of griddles brought to you by yours truly, feat. Hockey on the bacon.

Some went on a drive to the Gap, some of us took a smaller loop. I was amazed with the variety and awesomeness of the cars that showed up.

Me, Kenny, Hondamatt, Hockey, and MG Rob went on a quick run around the Cashiers/Highlands/Cullowhee area for a couple hours.

We went back to the lodge for a bit to tend to the star of the show.

And then a few of us rode out to Devil's Courthouse

And eventually decided to hoof it up to that rock outcropping in the top left of the frame. Tough ascent, but we made it.

Afterwards, Sam noticed a tunnel and went full Roadracer

Later that evening, it was time to throw down the pork gauntlet with Mr. Howard's famous egg feast.

The night got a little hazy after that...

MrBill and Grnmachine02 left at the crack of dawn this morning, but I caught a rare photo of them looking down on us from above.

I had an unbelievable time. Always good to see old friends and make new ones. I can't wait until next year. Hats off to all of you for coming out and making this a really, really fun event. Hope everybody makes it home safe.

Somebody wash my windshield please.

I had fallen back a bit, here is the aftermath of some tire combustion.

^ You got it! Unlisted now.

Hahahaha that's awesome.

I used to live in Cullowhee and would run that road to work every day. Here's the road in reverse.

'Drive day' was all sorts of awesome. Tail of the Dragon was awesome (when we weren't following some damn ape hanger chopper). The roads to and from were awesome. Hell, even the road to the lodge was awesome.

Thanks to Jared for setting this up, and to Wren and Kenny for feeding us.

Sir, I do believe that the hats should come off to you for making this happen. Our grill and kitchen masters, and the large amount of dead pig at breakfast, and dinner!

Oh yea - and four core intercoolers, and uh - ball bearing turbos.

I am in for next year!

Good times! It was good to see everybody again. Thanks again Jared, and to all the cooks. The food was one of the best parts of the meet.

One couldn't have asked for a nicer facility for an event like this. The kitchen was a little under-equipped for feeding 30 people, but having the flat-top griddle that Jared came up with really saved our bacon. Thanks, Jared! I think next year we're going to come up with a way of firing it with propane for more even and lasting heat.

I didn't take many photos, but here are a few. Let's see some more!
