![]() Will a Richmond locker for a Dana 30 fit on a G80 rear in a 740?

![]() No. You need an open carrier to install the Richmond locker.

![]() My thought was cause i already have the Richmond was remove the G80 parts and install Richmond parts so it was not a locker light anymore and instead of welding the weights on the g80 or is it easier to weld the weights and sell my Richmond cause i dont have a Dana 30 anymore

![]() It'll definitely be easier to modify the G80.
You'll need to swap the ring gear and bearing shims to the Dana carrier, install new bearings and hope that the backlash is correct to use the Richmond. If you can't find a used one cheap (or free), open carriers aren't that expensive new. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Motive-Gear...0AAOSwsnVeHkid |
