![]() Has anyone seen these mirrors before? That's a 1977 264 and supposedly the mirrors are electric mirrors. All electric mirrors I have seen before mount in the window triangle and not on the door..
Were they a one year special? ![]() |

![]() They're certainly in the parts catalogue called "Alter 1", and from what I've found they were pre 1978, but I'm not sure on that (catalogue doesn't list any years).
"Alter 2" are the ones mounted on the window triangle. ![]()

![]() Thanks! It still seems that a majority of cars still received the "Alter 2" mirrors - even before 1978.

![]() They were are a factory option for late 140 and early 240. I have a new set in the box with instructions I'm installing in my 145. Dude in Malaysia has an individual mirror for sale on eBay.
