Freaking IPD - again

Is the collision after the flex joint? You could try having your mechanic adjust some exhaust hangers to "lift" the pipe away from the sway bar

Or he could be a a real Bricker and crawl under there and finger it out himself. The above sounds like what needs to happen. I bought a Borla axle back for my Toyota, it banged and rattled until I took it off and compared the mounts to the factory muffler and bent them to match.

This.

... but apparently nothing can be done, NOTHING!

Appreciate all the suggestions. I'll probably just live with it for now, we had it on the rack for about half an hour banging on it and trying to figure a solution without coming up with anything. Granted we didn't start taking things apart or torching them but I didn't want to start racking up shop $$$ at that point.

Mostly just annoyed at the overall design and wanted to make folks aware.

Before the flex joint unfortunately. Banging it out of the way ala Vinnie's suggestion was the best bet but that is a pretty solid downpipe.

Bready is having much more fun pissing and moaning about it!

I didn't say "nothing" [...]

Ahem

[...] Went back to my mechanic today and he put the car up then showed me what the problem was - the sways are banging against the downpipe. Nothing that can be done about it - tried to bang the pipe into a better position etc but no go [...]

But I get it.

If it's really annoying, I'm probably going to be in Seattle at the end of October to help the other old useless lazy senile bitchy one to fix his wifes car... we could fix it with fire and manliness.

Rear engine mount in good shape? If it's leaked its hydraulic fluid, it will be lower than normal

No, the mounts were replaced. While the subframe was down I decided to get the sways installed.

I really appreciate your constructive input brother

Well I'm about 10-15 minutes away.

Look forward to finally meeting in person.

Sounds like their R&D standards are slipping. At least use the customer as a research tool. For the good money we spend on their parts, at least give us something that will have fitment to that of it's OE counterpart.
