    Stumbling upon warm start up

But it idles right at where it should, once it gets up to normal idle. It stumbles at about 200 for a second or two and then sits right at 750

    Stumbling upon warm start up

I'll give this a shot but I mentioned in the original post that both pumps and filter are new.

    Stumbling upon warm start up

92 244. I've had the car for about 4 years and it has always had this quirk where when I start it cold, it idles very low, like 200rpm and then creeps up to normal idle after a second or 2. When the car is warm. The problem is a bit more exaggerated and a lot of time I will start it and it just...

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

Quick update in case anyone reads in the future. I replaced the water pump, thermostat and did a thorough flush and it still did it. Turns out.... That stupid temp faker was causing a bad reading.

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

So update... It seems like I have confirmed that the fan clutch is good. It seems to be operating the way it's supposed to. So I guess I'm just going to replace the water pump and the thermostat and flush/clean everything

    240 Lamda sensor problems

Are you gonna bump every Lambda thread you can find? Check fuses. Did you pull the accordion air intake hose and check it thoroughly for holes? Spray some starter fluid around mating surfaces and check for other vacuum leaks.

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

It isn't bypassed. I have it bypassed in my other 240 but not in this one. Planning to do it this weekend. This one sits just below the middle when moving. But if I sit still to long is creeps up to the red pretty quickly.

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

Ok so if I jump the switch on the passenger side, should the fan come on along with the compressor? Or will the fan only come on at a certain temp?

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

Ok sounds good. So I need to do some more digging and make that switch is doing what it's supposed to do

Overheating when sitting still with AC on

91 245. When running AC, the car will start to overheat when sitting still. How is the AC fan supposed to work? Is it supposed to be on all the time if the AC is on? I haven't checked when the car is at OT but I just went out and turned the AC on and the fan does not turn on.

    Tail Light Melting

Either way, I bought a taillight off a fellow TBer. Ifeel like the last time I did this I made sure everything was clean and tight but I'll take a bit of extra care this time and hope for the best

    Tail Light Melting

Not even over time? This taillight was installed in October 2022

    Tail Light Melting

The bulb in question is the taillight/brake light. Upon some investigation I found that for some reason I had a 2057 in there which is 27w as opposed to the 7528 which is 21w so that could be the culprit. I'll swap out for the proper bulb and keep an eye on it.

    Tail Light Melting

91 245. I replaced my tail light when I got the car with aftermarket and a year in, the housing that holds the bulb started melting. I replaced it with a good used OE taillight and now the same thing has happened. I'm gonna get a new taillight and make sure I clean everything up before...

b230 rear main seal or oil pan gasket leak?

If you do end up replacing the oil pan gasket, I can't recommend enough changing the oil pump seals. They are still available through Volvo for a couple dollars a piece and are almost guaranteed to be dry. With the pan off, it's maybe another 5-10 min of work and could save you from a blown engine.
