Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
The reman (new) unit I got off RockAuto (BBB INDUSTRIES 3070112) seems solid. For a tad under $300, I'd say it's not a bad deal. Doesn't come with tie rod ends or lock nuts.
One of the P80 calipers I had put on last year in prep for the V8 conversion seized on me - the rotor was quite blue . I had to rebuild the caliper as I had modded the 'clamp' section to clear the 15" Volvo wheels I use for snows. I got a complete kit with new piston off RockAuto. Doesn't seem...
In December I added a platform with an awning on the back of the garage, to use for storing heavy equipment that doesn' really need to occupy precious space inside.
My plan was to work on adding a real addition to the garage, but after meeting with one of the town building inspectors, my lot...
Hi - thank you Corivus - I still have the original harness connectors, so I was going to get 9004 LEDs - I've used Auxito brand in the past, which are not the cheapest, however they have the built in fans/heat sink for heat dissipation at the back. I have the H4 version in eCodes now. It would...
Going to go back to the original headlamp setup. I found a complete set with the frames, my originals were toast, and the lenses were yellowed. The problem with the Depot Ecodes is that the adjusters are crap - I haven't been able to get the the low beams or fogs properly set since I put them...
That is helpful - thank you. So basically, you bolted the adaptor plate to the firewall utilizing the stock hardware location, then bolted the GM pedal to the adaptor plate. Looking at the Volvo pedal, it appeared from the base design to recess into a cavity, that was part of what I was trying...
All the cam install parts and required tools are now here. I've fixed the space heater in the garage, and made a little more space by sectioning a bench that was much deeper than needed to give me a little more work space without getting too close to the X!/9.. Hopefully I can move forward with...
Mine started out as a 98 XC
Treadstone Intercooler -
Bumper bar sectioned & reinforced
engine bay
I also added a Shelby GT hood scoop and aerocatch latches
Thank you. I modified the XC bumper cover & sectioned the face bar to fit a massive Treadstone IC. I stacked two XC grilles to make it factory. I made 2 versions, I still have the earlier one (w/fogs and grilles) which has a little more of an upper ridge, slightly smaller opening. The lip is a...
Cool Project, for sure!
The '99 TCU also looks for specific values from the multiple sensors in the transaxle. They differ from year to year, and the wrong sensor will impact the trans operating as intended. It is highly unlikely your '99 TCU will 'talk' to a transaxle from a 960 of earlier...
OK, thanks. I'll have to address that when I separate the trans & do the rear main. The motor has around 130K, so I figured all external seals should be addressed.
Thanks for the tip - I'll order the cam retainer plate. What's the rear cover? I thought it's just the timing cover that comes off. I have that & the water pump seals/seals
