93 245 Rear Glass Fogging Inside

It’s a slickroof. It didn't have any fogging last time I ran it but that was summer. Got an FR-S and stopped driving it. It’s wild when it’s -6 because it freezes instantly and you can’t back out of parking spots or anything. Very weird.

93 245 Rear Glass Fogging Inside

That's great to know. I have been debating whether I need to fix the ac. The old wagon, which does not have AC, never had this issue. I guess a trip to the parts store to rent an AC vacuum is in order at some point.

93 245 Rear Glass Fogging Inside

It’s been very cold lately, around 0 F every morning. The rear windows in my 245 have been fogging up then icing when I drive the car. It starts in behind the B pillar and runs back to the rear wagon glass. It does not fog the windshield where the defrost is on. At first I thought it was because...

Broken Fuel Gauge Stop/Peg - Recourse?

I've made custom speedo gauges out of phenolic plastic for 240s that have a similar peg. My solution was to drill out a hole slightly smaller than a real thin machine screw and just screw it through. This requires having access to the backside but does not require a spare gauge like gluing...

    No Codes, No Start

Would a failing powerstage make a coil look bad? And if so why would it then work on a different coil? He did look at it and refer to it as stupid crusty, but I don't have a spare to try and I don't want to pull mine out of my car.

    No Codes, No Start

Great news. The car started. After seeing continued weak, fat yellow spark we threw on a spare coil and it started right up. Weirdly enough the old coil showed good on multimeter tests. It doesn't stay running but it's infinitely easier to fix things once you can get it started. Does anyone...

    No Codes, No Start

I verified plug wire position and spark at two of the plugs. In retrospect it was a pretty fat yellow spark, but the plugs had a lot of carbon on them. I have not been over to help since he replaced the plugs. I did tell him to backprobe the temp sensor but that shouldn't affect starting on...

    No Codes, No Start

Okay new plugs, no injectors plugged in. No start on ether. The car doesn't need an o2 sensor to start correct?

    No Codes, No Start

TLDR: I gave a 89 244 to a 16 yo that works for me. It was previously running but wouldn't idle without pedal input. Now it won't start after sitting two years. No codes, has spark, there is fuel on the spark plugs. What gives? In 2019 I bought two cars, a 89 244 and a 93 245 in non-working...

    Knowleswagon for Rallycross.

We had another event on 8-19. I lost to SwedishK in the RWD division by .4. Prior to this I had replaced the shifter with a short shifter, changed the header to one that had a port for a O2 sensor in a bid to rectify the stumbling that happens at light throttle. In the two events since I...

    Knowleswagon for Rallycross.

Event 2 got rained out, we lost the back half of our season last year for the same reason. Event 3 was last weekend. It rained hard Friday night but was otherwise dry all week. The circletrack, being river clay, was pretty undriveable on top. The track president shut us down on running the...

    Daddy, the $400 Rallycross 245

I never once looked at the speedo but the TrackAddict App I used said 26-27. Probably a smidge faster than that it wasn't pinging super fast.

    Knowleswagon for Rallycross.

A local man decided to create a series of rallycross events at the dirt circle track in our small town. We (swedishK, quin, & I) were unwilling to commit any money to this endeavor for like nine different reasons. Fortunately, we had a lot of stuff laying around. That made the Rallycross car...

    Knowleswagon for Rallycross.

Then it was +t time. New 2.2 harness and ecu, breakerless ignition. 15g with Yoshifab manual boost controller, T cam. Pretty standard turbobricks affair. I elected to use a B230 from Brendon_AK instead of the higher comp B23 that came in the car. I think I read a JohnV post about how stupid it...

    Knowleswagon for Rallycross.

I have always liked and enjoyed cars but having something to work on and modify did not become a priority in my life until I got settled back in Alaska after college. I came shockingly close to buying a 245 in college before my grandmother decided to move off her 98 Honda Accord, which is the...
