    "Barn Find" 1980 242.

It's a. It hard to see, but I have it mounted to the frame rail with a silicone isolated bracket, and in another spot on the resonator to the cross member un-used bolt hole

    "Barn Find" 1980 242.

I finished up the boom tube. Even though I can Tig weld, I decided to have a friend who is an aerospace welder do the welding on it since I have limited time. He did a amazing job on it. Since the design triggered a few people on the Facebook TB group, who made sure to use their youtube...

    "Barn Find" 1980 242.

I received the parts to make my side exit/boom tube. Time to TIG weld this up, cut the slash and install it.

Sweet. Keeping the flying thing in mind. I'd love to drive up a semi reliable 240 and spend the week but that's probably not realistic.

    "Barn Find" 1980 242.

A quick cardboard mockup of my new side exit exhaust. I built a simple dump tube for the external gate. I've been working on improving my weld setup with back-purging and some pulse settings.

Turbo choice for streetable built redblock

Any of the no-name off brand or brand name 62/62 turbos or around that range should be good. I'm happy with my authentic Mitsubishi td06 20g on my 16v, but I would have gone with something different if I was building it these days.

    "Barn Find" 1980 242.

I had some winter mods i've been wanted to do. First up, is adding an external wastegate. I used a generic summit 44mm. The placement wasn't super ideal but I really didn't want to redesign and build all new stuff. It should work just fine. Dump tube will be added later. Second up was...

Do you rev your redblock to redline

I take mine to ~7200 Stock 16v head.

    Microsquirt initial startup

What is your fuel pressure? Have you checked spark? Microsquirt doesn't do sequential fuel timing so it's unlikely that's the issue. How do you have the injectors set to fire?

1993 Classic Wagon, L33, TKX, Fueltech

I got my fueltech dash designed and printed. I Xometry make it with 100% infill. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Alright, so I was really wanting to go with a MaxxEcu, but realistically it was out of budget (sorry, scold me now maxxecu fan bois). I decided on the FT550 since I won't have to buy an additional display, and the price was right at about $1200 for the ECU and harness. I want it too look like...

I'm getting 25.5" from front of Bell housing (engine block surface) to center of shifter rod.

Ill get that measured this evening. I've been following your swap. I picked up basically the same exact 242 a few months ago for $700 and even thought about swapping that one instead, but it was a perfectly running and driving car, so its a backup daily at the moment.

Gotcha. It's the same as the t5 Ford so should be right where it needs to go in the stock hole. The shifter can also be flipped if you wanted to move it. Let me know if you need any measurements. This will likely get done through the winter, so I'm not sure on the timeline quite yet.
