I have an oil filter relocator off a 940 turbo. The thermostat housing is stamped 95C (203 F). Im thinking i may use that with an 87C (189 F) engine coolant thermostat.

Would 195 for both with on-time oil changes be ok (for street use). From my z4 experience engine temperature is going to be whatever the lower thermostat setting is.

I swear I searched the board before posting. I found a lot of overheat and sending unit issues I have a bmw z4 where the oil thermostat broke (stuck open?) and the engine could only get to about half normal temp. Made me rethink my coolant and oil thermostat plans for a volvo b230 turbo engine...
