Can anyone shed some light on these heads I was given in a recent 122 purchase?
The one marked 2TBG clearly has bigger valves. Outside of that I?m a newb with these heads.
Welp this recent 244 I purchase has decided to finally leave my high and dry today...
Driving on the freeway, I noticed the SRS and ABS lights came on, after taking my exit at a lower speed the car started to drive poorly, fuel cut out and rough idle. I decided to pull over to look at a few...
Ignition coil getting hot 740 won?t turn over.
So a friend of mine has an 89 744, B230. All of a sudden today the car won?t turn over it?s getting power and was driven this morning just fine. We?ve noticed the ignition coil is very hot and the plug closest to the firewall clearly has what...
Stumped. How the hell does this come off? I?d like to replace the gasket...all face bolts are removed and the 2 front, lower oil pan bolts are removed. This thing won?t budge, I must be missing something.
Upon draining my M45 I was greeted by a part that belongs elsewhere. Can anybody identify this part and what it does/serves?
Also, it appears the 1st gear baulk ring and its retainer clip has come free, can this be repaired without removing the Mainshaft and pinions?
I guess I would consider this my 'once in a lifetime' find and thanks to the help of Patrick (Patrickstar) for notifying me about this 242 for sale locally. With all of the time spent on my last '80 Beige 242 I had no intentions on replacing it, it's a great car and I tackled all of the rust it...
Wondering if anyone has any info about this lower trim on my rocker panels? It fits perfectly and is contoured to the exact shape I’m curious if this was a factory option.
Normally I don't go to the junkyard when the inventory only indicates a couple of 700s as far as Volvos to pick from. Today I was looking for a replacement door for my Tahoe. Being a Volvo addict, I couldn't possibly ignore the 700s after making the trip over. I'm glad I did, as I walked by this...
After looking online for pictures or illustration on how to mount a Thule fairing with zero luck, hoping someone here could chime in and help.
My question is, do I have the proper mounting hardware? Brackets on backwards?
Pulled an E Fan and relay from a V90 that’s looks like it’ll work in my 242 with a little trimming.
Found a really nice Nissen Radiator from a ‘93 244
An ‘84 244 had a pretty nice black E Brake cover, it is broken where the seat belts go towards the bottom, I’ll trim it down and...
Well 6 of them...Saw the IG post from iPd and I had to see if I could find any since they were just released. I hit up Walmart by my work, Target, and Fred Meyer and struck out at all 3. Called my wife and asked if she could look at a Walmart she works by and she brought home all 6 they had...
Just got back from the junkyard looking for some cheap roller wheels for my 242, came across this 850R that looks reasonably complete. Black leather and suede interior is in really good shape still has front and rear bumper, polyurethane motor mounts, K&N air filter, MSD blaster at ignition...
Can I remove this capped line? I assume it?s part of the EGR system? My thoughts are since it?s already capped, by previous owner, I could trace it back to the intake manifold and plug it there, thus getting rid of unnecessary crap.
In the midst of cleaning things up I?ve come across a few things I?m not familiar with and would like to get rid of if I can.
#1
#2
#3 Green wire to ignition wiring...capped off
#4
Lastly. Any reason I couldn?t shorten the throttle cable from finger to finger?
I wanted to see how the previous owner welded the rear diff and upon opening it open it looks like complete garbage...not going for anything but stock at the moment. What makes the best sense as far as getting this back to the way it was? Replace the entire axle/rear from a donor or yank the...
What models and years did they come on? I?m looking to swap the entire carrier assembly into my existing rear axle...
Research has shown ?92-96 960s and 940s N/A and Turbo models?
Is this accurate? Any other options for this swap?
Would love to hear your input, what holds up better, longer with regular daily use.
I?ve read Zinc penetrates better as far as small pin holes or imperfections but nickel is more durable...
Anybody have some of Ben?s parts that have seen some use? How is the finish holding up?
I'm looking to put 16x8 GTA wheels on my 242. I've found in searching you can run 25mm adapters all around with the fronts et0 and the rears et15. Curious if I could run 4 'front' wheels with the zero offset (and wider lips)and not hit anything up front with thick enough adapters?
