On this b230ft I just got, the middle aux bearing looks like this. Not sure if it was from removal but does it have to be replaced? The shaft spun with some resistance.

And what’s an affordable option?
I accidentally pushed the piston too hard out the cylinder when removing and it hit my engine stand. Was going for a B230ft stock bottom end, 300hp build. What do you guys think?

^I took apart the pistons and rods and uploaded them, could someone tell me if these are still useable? These are the only signs of wear I noticed out of all of them.
Alright so I have been putting this off for a while now and want to see what my options are. This is my first engine tear down/build just as an FWI and am looking for guidance. I took apart my engine due to suspected piston rings, but discovered worse as I dug deeper. Cylinder and piston...
I know I wish I just bought a stock car, can't sell it now now though.
that's probably my new route. I couldn't really find any posts on people who go from turbo to NA so I had no idea it was that bad of an idea lol.
So yes I thought that about that, the exhaust manifold is cracked to begin with, and then the downpipe doesn't properly attach to the turbo outlet. And after that there is another leak where the downpipe meets the rest of the exhaust. So I kind of want to redo the work the previous owner had...
I bought my 242 a year ago with the intent of daily driving it. I haven't been able to keep it running properly because of my lack of experience(my first project car). The car was souped up by the previous owner(ms2 ecu, custom intake/exhaust manifold, holset turbo, B230ft, t5). And I have been...
So I have this old r-sport gauge cluster that was retrofitted with LEDs and have been having issues with wiring it. When I mount it in the dash and try to power it, it blows fuses. The other lights that are wired to the headlight switch aren't affected. Does the cluster ground itself somewhere...
I was just asking if someone had like a picture of the interior at night with all the lights on so I can see where they all should be. When I am driving at night I feel like I am in a void.
Does anyone know where all the interior lights are in a pre 1980 240, I am trying to wire up all the lights back up since the previous owner didn't have them wired. And I have no idea where they are supposed to be.

I used this for sticking the two foam pieces together when I had to shorten the height of the seat backs.
I did mine because the turbo exhaust manifold cooked my alternator and lowered the voltage output, and also higher corrosion resistance in the higher location. But if you don't have any of those issues or concerns than it isn't a crazy mod. I made new power steering lines for mine because I...
My exhaust manifold had a crack in it so I mig welded it to fill it. Now driving the car for a couple months I get an exhaust leak in the same spot as that crack, so today I took the manifold off to see a new crack right above where I welded the old crack. It's an RSI turbo exhaust manifold for...
I want to know some of your guy's opinion. I put in new valve hushers and checked the valve lash a little while ago and this ticking is still very noticeable. I haven't owned any other 240's or cars before with ticking noise from the valve train to know if this is normal or not. But the ticking...
I know its a straight forward concept if you want to tuck your bumper. You drill the shock to release pressure and compress it to your desire. But I wanted to test my old bumper shocks off a commando bumper first before I do it to my only set of 83-85 shocks. After I drilled and released the...
