Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Had a great day yesterday at JapFest.
Missed the initial Time attack tracktime session due to being stuck driving into the event, luckily I got put into another session at the end of the day. So I had quite some time to explore:
Brought one of the Time attack guys a turbo to save his car...
Given I was still running the original volvo turbo plugs I did some maintenance and got them replaced by the wonder plug
The intake also got some revision, adding some straight tube on both ends of the 012 MAF to sort out my low rpm issues. The new lathe came in handy for getting the tubes...
It appears bosch protect is down, but the hologram looks off:

This is how I ran my intake to sort out the issue, 12 inches of straight tube with the MAF in the center is optimal. I had zero issues with a weird intake with the 016, the...
Looking at your intake path, I would suggest getting a piece of straight tube to test with, I had the same issue. In addition, did you verify the code on the box the injectors shipped in with Bosch, lots of unreliable fakes out there.
Swapped the hood for a lightened one I got with the 360 cup car and gave the car a wash.
Got the old cage cut up and cleaned up.
Forgot to document, but main hoop and cross.
Rear braces and harness bar.
Fits nice with the seats, so I can start making up mounts for those. I'll order...
Patched the right side floor, which was fortunately in a lot better condition
Also patched the second hole in the firewall, normally this is covered by a cover plate, but I'd rather have it fully closed off. This hole is only used for the earlier hvac system, so it can go.
Cut out the...
You were asking who sells crank steered 152mm rods, KL and KG offer those. That solve the issue you are having with the wiseco's not being piston steered right?
Got the sound deadening cleaning finished after 2 days of scraping and thinner
Permanized the transmission mount
Patched the left front jacking point, and deleted it all together (will move to pin stands eventually)
This was a complicated mess given several joints come together at...
Took a week off to get some progress in on this thing again
Bought a 13g after getting a cheap b230FT from a friend, should be perfect for 250hp with a billet wheel for a bit more push. The ITB's will go to a road car that is in the works, given I'd rather street tune that setup.
Broke a...
Did you get the less clamping pressure kit from KG? Just pulled the higher pressure set from my motor, given it was at 1000N of clamping force, you'd like to be around 600N mine was eating the cam. If you got that set, just pull the inner spring and you should be close enough;)
The 60° rotation should pull it up to the other figure. Generally rotation is more accurate as you know your physical bolt stretch from the pitch.
If your worried a quick check would be to take the wrench to 100ft/lbs and give it a pull to check if you get any movement. The bolt is a torque to...
