Went to Capitol Raceway today, it was nice and cool out and not a lot of people when we first got there. Got the slicks on and passed tech (finally!) and then got in line.

First pass was a 11.967 @ 113.743.

Second pass was better: 11.891 @ 114.74.

There ya go, with 24.5 x 8 x 15" Mickey Thompson ET Drag tires, 26ish psi, and no launch control, flat shifting, or nitrous :)

Oh yeah, and 8 less valves than Kenny too :)

It's a B23 bottom end, built by John V. CP Pistons, Eagle rods, stock crank. Head has minor port work, just the bowls cleaned up. IPD turbo cam. Proturbo manifold, GT2871R turbo, ebay intercooler, 750cc injectors, and MSnS tuned by Heebspeed :)

Has it been dynoed? I'm curious what kind of power its putting down. I also guess the 242 is stripped out to get the race weight as low as possible.
 
i'm glad i got those videos, you know damn well i was just as happy to see 11's as you were.. that's why i got the oh **** in there... there should be one more vid of you running 11's too. where are the vids of my retarded contraption?

Yeah, made 280whp and 304 torque at 25psi down in Alabama. It was 114 degrees in the dyno room that day :)

Making a bit more power now with air temps in the 50s.

And race weight was about 2765lbs with me in it.

Nice!!! I will take a guess you have spent some time on the suspension, cause it coming out of the hole hard..... It show's you don't need tons of power to get down the 1/4 fast, just have to hook.... Good job!!!
 
What suspension mods have been done?

Suspension is set up for drifting/autocross. 500lb in front springs, 300lb in rear. Koni DAs up front, Bilsteins which are too soft in the rear. IPD 25mm bar up front, 19mm stock bar in the rear. Handles really well, but probably too stiff for an ideal drag race setup. But it sure does hook hard :) Those tires are awesome. 6500 rpm clutch dump and no wheelspin.

Your and Kennys times are about a full 2 seconds faster than anyone was running on tbricks W/0 nitrous like only 2 years ago...such amazing progress. That shows what a difference a good tune, a proper turbo/manifold and lots of boost on a built motor will do. And a 1.67 60ft will put your ass back in the seat!

I am impressed.
