It’s been a LONG time since I hosted the BBQ’s that started the annual WM, and it’s time I host again. Planning WAY in advance this year.
Volvo is not required to attend, just be here to enjoy the cars and company.
15 August 2025 at our home in Marina, CA (on the Monterey Bay). Address to be sent to those confirmed to attend. Real house this time, not our Carmel in-law unit or our dingy condo in Marina.
NOTE: This is during Monterey Car Week, lodging is expensive and hard to find locally. PLAN AHEAD. I have limited space at the house and it’s pretty much taken every year. Limited backyard camping, limited driveway camping. Talk to me and plan ahead if you aren’t local and want to come see car week.
I’ll be doing burgers and something delicious vegetarian too. Food is on me, BYOB.
Probably starting to cook about 6pm, which is when I expect to be home from our car spotting post-Quail adventure Friday afternoon.
Saturday AM is Concours d’Lemons, go for a couple early hours, check out the cars and coffee hosted by some friends across the street. Then to Laguna Seca for racing, then about 6pm over to Monterey Motorsports Festival to support my friend Paulo and his new show in its 3rd year.
OR Saturday AM is Concorso Italiano. I have a number of very deeply discounted tickets available, if you want to go to one of the big events let me know and we will make this happen. After this I'll be at Laguna Seca to watch some racing, then to MMF at the Fairgrounds for the evening (also may have discounted tickets).
Also on Saturday is Exotics on Broadway. Lots of Carbon Fiber. Lots of YouTubers. Lots of noise, crowds, and bullshit.
Sunday is Concours d’Elegance at Pebble beach. I’m going, you are welcome to join. It’s it cheap, so plan ahead.
Be good guests or I will throw you the fuck out and drag you relentlessly for decades to come. Ask 740TANKDRIVER how it works if you don’t know, he acted like an asshole and got shown the way. Respect the home and its occupants and guests.
If you have special dietary restrictions this is at your own risk BUT I can work with you to accommodate.
If you don’t like dogs, don’t come. My dog loves here and it’s her house.
