1976 242 build

So this build started as a stock 1976 242 dl. Within the past month I have spent every moment of my time transforming her into a low lean mean cruising machine. The motor swap and engine upgrades were done by the previous owner. The rest were done by me.

Love this car man.....gives me goals for my 76
 
Here she is with her new shoes and kaplans camber plates. The photos were taken by my buddy at creatures of the night last night. I forgot to register, the judges said it would've done really well and that I have to bring it next year.





















 
Too much. But they were worth it. If you want to know go look in there website and add $300 for gold hardware.

Expect to pay at least $600-700 per wheel for 3pc custom (new) wheels. I'm sure you could pay a lot more.

If you can find useable wheel centers for cheap, you can buy new barrels & hardware for a lot less than the cost of complete wheels. Around $1700 for 8pcs (4 x inner, 4 x outer) in any width you need. I had bought these BBS as 15"s for around $500/set and then made them look like brand new 17"s. Gold paint, new aluminum, shiny new bolts...magic.

I thought about re-building a set of rs but I wanted to do something different plus I also didn't want to have to deal with adapters and everything. This way I was able to get the actual offset and wheel lip that I wanted and they bolt right up.
