Taking photos 😂
She sent more and has a date with some local (where she lives) that drives a 245... She chased him down! I just hope he's not using her to get to MY STASH! :finger:

No stealing Daddy Jacks parts, or his powder coating.
Just here to learn😃

shes visiting for a week and last time I worked on this I broke off one of the downpipe studs... thinking that was weird since I used copper locknuts (same as head to manifold type) I didnt have time to fix it then because she needed to move and I would fix it when the car was here

so today while I pulled the downpipe I saw that the part that locks the but messes up the threads. I wont be using these again

the one I broke last time

I managed to get both off without having to pull the manifold off. Welded nuts and worked them off

exhaust leak fixed! as she was pulling in I noticed a gas smell...
gas tank to fuel pump hose was leaking under pressure, found a hole where the hose clamp holds it to the bump stop... fixed that too

it's not a through hole and only leaked under pressure

other bs I will deal with next time she comes over
- oil leak coming from front of engine - idk probably front main - just installed
- transmission output seal is leaking - wonder if crappy seal since I just also installed that

Whered you get the wind deflectors on the windows? The in channel design is so much better and a couple googles only showed me the vp and scp exterior mount/stick on variety

Found them on eBay NOS thanks to @rearwheelpeel

They have been NLA for decades now. I found a few sets at jy over the years and few on here. They’re held in place with clips that go under the window guide seals

gf and I call them awnings as a joke

Get those flange nuts with the serrated surface underneath for down pipe. The later models had em iirc. Might have to shave the diameter a tad though some but up against the weld or tube just to warn ya.

There are different stud lengths also and the flange had diff thickness on the pad for the downpipe.

I think there were two NA studs types plus long ones from turbo

The stud closest to the block is the one where you can’t fit a flange nut without shaving it down because (like you said) there is no space between pipe and stud

How is this exhaust manifold that clean
West coast car and Jack's perfectionism.

Those are the only nuts I've actually had luck with.

I hate those downpipe studs with a passion.
