1982 kjet fuel pump - need source for new

The question becomes, who really makes the pump being sold under the Bosch name brand.
That comment reminds me of the Youtube video of the guy comparing the upper strut mounts for 240. I think it's older like five years old. But the genuine Volvo one looked exactly like one of the unknown brands like Mevotech if I recall correctly. It's a big mish mash of who makes what now.

The Volvo brand strut mounts are definitely re-boxed garbage now. They look like URO or one of the other cheap knock off brands. mr brick driver bought a set and they literally failed within 5,000 miles and 2 years of use.

I got one last year from Amazon. It really seems to be genuine Bosch NOS. Looks like they still have a couple of them left. Link

Your car should be set up for this unit. It will be listed as not fitting an early car because those pumps were smaller in diameter, so the ring that holds it to the tray would not work. Also, I believe the location of the mounting to the tray is in a slightly different location.

If you have a different type of elect. connector, you can get the proper type from Dave Barton, with robust wire leads of the right colors.

If anyone in the future is looking at installing the kit brought up by 2manyturbos, IPD #141498, it appears as of 2025 the kit includes everything you need except one nut to secure the crossover connect between two copper washers. The thread size and pitch is M12x1.5, which to my complete lack of surprise is not easily available at Home Depot or the like. Just like 2manyturbos said I had to force a 1.75 pitch to fit and that is the new thread size of my banjo bolt. But if you plan to order the kit it would do you well to order that m12x1.5 nut/locknut as well

Who do I contact to complain???

I got 3000 kilometers from Monroe branded ones I bought a year ago from Autodoc. Rubber looks pristine but bearing is done on both sides; Hrrr sound when I rotate it in my hands makes me question if they even had grease in them in the first place. I'm going hard strut mounts now because I don't want to spend another hundred to try and see if any others would hold up.

Belmetric is a good online source for that hardware.

Strut mounts from Volvo were identified as exactly like the Mevotech ones on ebay. It's a youtube video about five years old comparing about 8 different mounts.
