1983 Volvo 245 DL b21a (auto) transmission linkage issues.

Slammed a little to hard on the brakes today cause of a crash ahead, gearbox shifted down two notches.

Essentially my gear box goes the typical PRND21. After it forced itself down two I essentially lost 2 and 1 cause it all came down 2 gears. They all worked after except park would have been where neutral is and reverse where drive is and so on until “drive”. After shutting the wagon off, it wouldn’t start which I’m assuming is because of the transmission safety switch system since park is technically not in the right spot or something bent down there etc. what I’m worried about is how to go about the linkage and putting it all back into the correct spot so that my gear box is normal. Anybody got videos or pictures of where to access the linkage and do whatever needs to be done? Never have had to work on a transmission.. yet

I'd check the engine mounts and transmission mount to make sure they didn't tear, and let the entire thing shift forward, dragging the shift linkage with it.
