1985-244 DL front axle grease seal part number

Good Afternoon,

We are doing the front end on my sons 244. We need to replace the inner grease seal while we are there. They could very well be original. Forsheda v-ring V 45 written on the seal itself. '
Napa looked up what seal their books said which was a national seal something. But when it came it clearly wouldnt work.

Would anyone know a part number for this seal as a cross reference? We were hoping to find it locally somewhere so we can work on the car tomorrow.

Any help is appreciated
 
Hi, Thank you very much. I forgot to mention I also ordered from rock auto and they were the wrong ones. Getting a collection of seals. lol

Unfortunately rock auto only has one of those beck arnley seals left it seems . So off to napa tomorrow and try there.

Funnily enough we went through a box of parts this car came with and we found a complete set of 6 IPD braided brake lines. Two Meyle tie rod ends. Two Meyle Ball joints. All the a arm bushings as well. cool.

Thank you very much for that info. Working on trying to find some of these. Harder because we are in a small town in Ontario. Closest dealer is 2 hours each way. So we mostly have to order our parts and shipping here can sometimes take along time. So hoping Napa or something can get it.

Use the Beck Arnley part number from Rock Auto and see if your local Napa can get the part. Napa supplied them to me in years past.
 
So no luck with any local parts supply. Napa, parts source, maslack etc. When I give Napa the volvo number 944185 they cross it to national 482126 which i already ordered last week and received and its clearly not the right seal.

I might have to ordered these from the states or elsewhere and deal with the long wait.
 
So an update. I ordered the one seal that rock auto had left and then I ordered two from........Amazon. lol.. Not sure how it will work but they were 28 bucks. I will post an update and a link if they arrive. Supposed to be a week.
