1989 245 won’t stay running

Hi I recently had my 89 245 all worked out but after sitting for few months away it is having some issues. It seems the fuel pumps do not want to run with the car on and also not priming when I turn the key. My radio and dash also did not have lights which was never an issue. I replaced all fuses and dash lights came back but not radio.
Jumping fuses 4&6 makes the fuel pumps run and I have a brand new fuel pump relay I replaced a couple months ago. I do hear it clicking on key turn. Fuel pumps are also <1k miles new. Seems like something electrical could be going on. Any input would be great

Oh I misinterpreted your original comment. Thank you I will give that a go
What I meant is the radio issue points to a possible worn ignition switch. The switch may be the source of all the problems you are having. I've replaced many switches over the years.
Have one ordered and been looking up best way to replace. I’ve seen you can do it with and without taking out the dash. Any advice in regards to changing it out?

What brand switch did you order? The switch can be changed without too much trouble. You need a very short, wide tip standard screwdriver. Magnetize the screwdriver by dragging it across a powerful magnet. Car speaker magnets work great for that. Take out the instrument cluster and work through the opening. You will need a mechanics mirror to see what you are doing. The screws that attach the switch to the back of the lock assembly are threaded into the lock assemble towards you. Therefore, you are working blind without the mirror. It is not easy, yet, can be done if you are patient.

I believe MTC from IPD.com. Thank you very much. Does not seem too daunting of a task

Changed the switch out and radio still doesn’t turn on and fuel pumps still don’t prime on key turn or start when engine turns over… any other inputs? Ty

I usually start with a test light back probing the signals for the fuel pump relay. Check out a wiring diagram for the connections. There should be constant power and a switched power signal to the relay.

My 940 doesn’t start, no power to the injectors I think it’s the ecu

Rsr or fuel pump?
The diagram shows the fuel "pump" relay giving 12V to the injectors. I call it the fuel system relay since it controls both the pump and ECU and if you just think it's for the pumps it can be misguiding for a novice. The ECU has an injector driver that grounds all 4 injectors at the same time to create the pulse. Look up how the relay works on an LH car and try poking around with it. If the CEL doesn't turn on in key position 2 then you know the ECU isn't being turned on.
