I'm in Jerome, ID. I have an AutoZone and an O'Reilly's across the street. 1991 240 is dead at a truck stop.
No spark. CPS is a BougiCord replacement and solid.
The garbage Commercial Electric DMM is made in Chinese junk and shite garbage using two AAA batteries. All at Lowe's or Home Despot were this shite brand and all use two AAA batteries. No Klein or Fluke. Cannot get accurate Ohms on the failed or generic replacement coil. So I cannot diagnose properly.
The generic brand of ignition coils, one from AutoZone the other from Oreilly's may have to low a resistance input for the power stage output. So the spare EZK116 Power Stage Bosch 0227100124 allowed 12 V at the coil inputs in KPII. Cranked and ran for a few minutes and failed without restart and no 12V at the could inputs at KP II (dash lights on).
I at least need a Power Stage replacement (or two) and a coild with minimum proper resistance at the + and - inputs. I have two sets of ECMs for ignition (EGR version and ending in 169 no STUPID EGR) and fuel control (0280000556 EGR and 0280000933 box). OBD for both were / are 1-1-1 (Yes, I will get a 0280000951). EGR is stupid like the green energy revolution and Gore's BS inconvenient truth when his family makes bazillions on hydrocarbons.
The power stage module knockoff and occasionally Bosch are on iPd, FCP, and versions at O'CrapReilly's and AutoCrapZone.
I have to be in wacky, homeless tent city, never afford a home, western-WA-state for a job winterview, yet again.
I have heat sink compound and two power stage or ignitor assembies with factory heat sink. I tested these and treated them with new heat sink compound, the factory install in kittsgreyvolvo and also the spares yet left several spares in storage. Stewpid me. Also, have spare factory coils. Yet in storage.
Volvo's documentation is shite and so no pin out load in info here in Mekartips with the Volvo Mitchell Service SLD PDFs, Oz Volvo, Dave Barton, or anywhere.
Jerome, ID stinks of shite from the animal slaughter so we eat meat and the Jerome Cheese Factory. Thanks.
