I was tracing some templates of my front control arms in order to cut plates to box them and noticed that the part of the control arm that goes to the large rear bushing sits a bit higher than the front are. On my car both L and R control arms are similar...there is ~1/4" gap between the piece of cardboard in the picture and the rear part of the control arm. Is this normal? Are all the red dots in the second picture supposed to be on the same plane? I have no real reason to think they are bent other than I was under the assumption that a flat piece of steel would lay on the bottom of the control arm without needing to be bent...maybe I am wrong and just over thinking it.
