Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Thank you for being a part of our community!
Their website can be weird at times.Volvo never sold them but VP does. For some reason they're not listed in the 240 brake section.
Gasket Caliper betw. halves, Girling frt
The dimensions of the gasket are 12x7,5x1,5...vp-autoparts.com
Gasket set is 1/2 the priceHate to be that guy @Jack but rockauto sells brand new ones for $78/piece, I'll be getting mine today so can check quality. Isnt this easier than rebuilding them?
I can never find shitTheir website can be weird at times.
nevermind that caliper will be rebuilt better than whatever shit we do on our del taco hot sauce covered work bench full of lugnuts in coffee cansHate to be that guy @Jack but rockauto sells brand new ones for $78/piece, I'll be getting mine today so can check quality. For me its time. Yeah I could rebuild it, and probably to a higher standard (my workbench only has lawn trimmings and Franks red hot) but opening a box and popping them on has a ton of value for me.nevermind that caliper will be rebuilt better than whatever shit we do on our del taco hot sauce covered work bench full of lugnuts in coffee cans

Your level of detail is way more than most people will ever aspire to. Also, talk to me about money saved when you've restored a 240 to a concours level of detailWhat ever happened to money saved is money earned
I waste most of my time anyway
oof I feel like I cut corners!Your level of detail is way more than most people will ever aspire to. Also, talk to me about money saved when you've restored a 240 to a concours level of detail
That's a no brainer. The time spent rebuilding a set of calipers could be put to much better use.Lo and behold, these just showed up. These are for sure new castings. Actually very nice! Two different holes drilled for the cotter pins, seems like all the pots are lined up very well, nice hardware used. These look like a deal to me at 78/per (rears are like 60)
And the bleeder screws will be so tight the holes will be mashed shut.nevermind that caliper will be rebuilt better than whatever shit we do on our del taco hot sauce covered work bench full of lugnuts in coffee cans
The only time I rebuilt calipers was on my Amazon when VP was out of stock. For me its time. Yeah I could rebuild it, and probably to a higher standard (my workbench only has lawn trimmings and Franks red hot) but opening a box and popping them on has a ton of value for me.
damn everyone here is “Mr money bags!”The only time I rebuilt calipers was when on my Amazon when VP was out of stock.
