Hi all this is my first post here!! I got myself an 93' 240 estate, imported from Japan to Hong Kong last month and I started looking on info. on +T'ing my car. Today I found this on R-sport oil pan on Ebay it seems that by using this oil pan I can avoid modifying/drilling anything to my engine? it should fit my 93' right???

My goal is to make the engine look as stock as possible, avoid "hot rod" looking part because rules here in Hong Kong is very strict and swapping a B230FK legally is not quite viable(and costy because nearly none exist in Hong Kong, will have to import a 940 somewhere else).

thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the forum!

I also looked at using this style pan for the +T on my 92 240 wagon. I essentially came to the conclusion that it is very overpriced when you can just buy a standard pan and weld in a drainage bung. It’s a pretty rare piece hence the price. It would technically fit your car but probably need different oil drain hoses than factory. This pan would also stand out as no Volvo left the factory with it.

Buying an extra pan, bung and paying someone to weld it may be $100. Not sure what B230 pan availability looks like in your area, but that’s the path I’m going down and many others have done before.

If you want to avoid this you could tap the block and very heavily clean it after. This would look the most factory. Some on the forum have done it and then run the car for many miles with no issue. The difficult part of this is that there isn’t much room to work with in the engine bay. This technically would be the most factory looking however.
