I can at least agree with you on this, 205/55R16 is about right for a 16" wheel. Going 50 instead of 55 makes my car look like a skateboard.

Varies, I’ve seen sets down around $250 and up. Adapters/25mm spacers work

16s on 240s
17s tend to look too big most of the time

Agree- 16s seem like the perfect ratio on a 240.
But also, BBS tend to look smaller diameter than they actually are. I think that a 17" BBS like Honeylake is running look great on a 240. But my personal favorite are the Style5 RC090, especially since you can redrill and run them without adapters.

Indeed, but Crown Vics are a bit thin on the ground over this side of the pond, except at Warner Bros studio up at Kings Cross On The Beach the Queensland Gold Coast.
