With the 84-89 740's, how do you repair the inevitable vacuum leak caused by dried up HVAC controls? I literally have 2 leaking control units.

On the back of the climate control, there is a rotating vacuum distributor. It shifts vacuum from one place to another.

I can cap off the vac leak at the intake mani, but that'd leave me with no control over where air is distributed in the cabin. Ideas??

3d printed clip since the old ones grow weak and rubber safe grease. I just finished going through everything in my 760, and got it working perfectly. I have a good 740 one somewhere

Yea, i was looking at that disintegrated clip. I presume that clip maintains tension/holds together the rotating discs of the vacuum distributor...

If ya got a 3D printed one that i can buy, lemme know. Think i could replace it with a rivet? This clip has a rectangular shaft and a super thin round head. Dunno if a rivet would work given that it's a round shaft in a rectangular hole...

I can print a few and send them to you, PM me. And if you want to drive bring to Stockton this weekend or next, as we are doing a Part-out party on first an s80, then a 940.
