Has anyone done it? I know the bumper shape is more "pointy" on the fog light front end that the 760 and 940 got. I feel like it could work...
One came up for sale within reach of me, but alas I've got the fog front end on my car.

Pic for tax.

I think it would look good. I feel like I stuck one on my old 945 briefly and liked it. I say go for it. Not like it would be hard to resell if you don't like it.

I am confused done what? The SE front fog lights are SE only, smaller then any other fog lights. Not sure what your asking... The SE's come stock with fog lights in the lower front bumper cover, smaller then other fog lights, hard to find the lights, easy to break em when bambi jumps out in front of you...

Im talking about using the front bumper on a car that had the fog lights beside the headlights. Commonly known as the fog light front end. The bumpers are shaped kind of differently between them. I'm not asking anything about the fog lights that go with the SE kit.

Ohh yeah the se bumper will bolt right on any 1990 or newer 740 or 940 doesn't matter what headlights you have will fit and bolt right on fine. As far as more pointy? No it does not stick out any more then the normal bumper... Uses same bumper shocks.. It looks bigger out more front as the lower valance part of it is more pronounced then the normal one and deeper.. But that is the SE bumper cover part, underneath same bumper.

The only reason I didn't keep mine one the fog 940 is because I was gonna modify it to fit my 780. Until I bought a house and sold bofum.

Ps It looked sick AF when mocked up on the 780

The fog front end used glass headlights vs plastic on non-fog. So the bumper sticks out farther to make the glass safer (US DOT regulations). I believe the bumper shocks are different length, the crash bar is farther out and the air deflector plates mounted to the side of the headlights that direct air to the radiator/intercooler behind the grill are different for sure.

Weird that I had a fog light front end setup that had plastic lenses. I think they where aftermarket perhaps. Sold it all to drift-n-lifts at the last garage sale for 100. I guess I will measure the difference in how much further out the fog light bumper is compared to the non fog to see what the difference is?

USA Fog

UK fog

Here are the usa fog with plastic replacement lenses I sold.

Ma's newer 940 I bought for her no fog USA!

1990 non fog USA bumper and light stock..

Another 1990 non fog USA.

1995 940 non fog usa front!

1991 non fog wife's kids car, he wants me put manual trans in it now of cours..

They sure look all the same length out except the UK one looks further out.. The UK one is the only one I can't actually measure... Personally I never like the fog USA front light front end, probabbsly why I don't have one..

The fog front bumper also is a two piece (top trim which is either chrome or black or body color like on the green wagon in the pick above is separate from the bumper cover) while non fog bumper cover is all one molded piece. I have a pair of fog bumper shocks- will measure them today to see the difference.

I thought the top trim piece was an earlier thing, and it went away on the later cars.
I've not seen one on anything past 92

1994 960 with fog front shows a separate chrome trim. I think very few of the 940's had fog front past 92- probably tried to keep the cost down. My 1993 940 Turbo has sunroof, leather, heated seats but regular non-fog headlights and waterfall grill even though the brochure shows eggcrate grill with fogs.
