I’ve got a 89 760 front end with the fog lights in the middle, but I want quad headlights and boxier fenders. I have the hood, headlight, fenders and cowl vent from a 89 740 with quad headlights. I knew this won’t just bolt up, but damn this don’t fit at all. So if anyone has any info on this I’m up for ideas, right now I’m just fabricating bolt holes. I figure I’ll post on here and if people have experience with this conversion I’d love to hear it. I can add pics if it helps.
Thanks

I don't think anyone has done this because the cowl and windshield, fenders and various other important parts of the front end are different between an '88+ 760 (or '91+ 960) and 740/940. The fenders look similar but at the cowl side they curve in different ways and won't quite fit. Notice that the hoods are totally different and the 760 cowl is hidden under the back end of the hood. The windshield is also at a totally different angle and the dash is in a slightly different place, and the firewall is a completely different shape.

Basically your choices are to get some European glass headlights if you want a different look or get a new car.

I know this won’t quite fit right and the body gaps will be there, but I think I can bolt up the fenders pretty easy. I just have to figure out how to mount the wiper assembly which help hold the cowl, and new hood latch placement. Maybe I’ll weld the hood latch to the car. And put brackets for the wipers. I’ve heard people say that it won’t work, but I came on here because yall are pretty creative.

I’ll post some pics Tuesday it’s dark now and I work late tomorrow. Almost got the fenders on, hard to line them up to the cowl. Does anyone know of some different front mudguards, mine will work but don’t fit nicely. Any help is appreciated
