Im excited. bought a rear sump pan and looking for a new shifter. Going to try and make this as seamless as possible.

Yea, I meant mid. I have a 7m cometic here and looking at the placement of the midsumps front section, its centerlind of the engine, and my 3/4 center is about 2 inches behind the cross member.

You did, for the money they are on Ebay, and I have 2 friends with them, i cant buy the parts for it! I thought for that kind of money, I can always build one later! But Ill do an intake, hehe

I'm workin the deal on the aem, nice thing about it, its plug and play with v2, and I have a good source for base maps.

yeah I was gonna say, they're so cheap and they work so well, a lot of people run them

I looked into the others, but they start off at twice the cost I can get the aem for. And that feature we talked about is tunable in aem, just a little more work to get it dialed in.

Its a legit turbo motor. But its getting all warmed over! Its coming out of Texas, so be like 5 days in transit. Ill get it next week, and tear it down, then off to the machine shop for some work.

I think you should be looking at the 74mm stuff. But, that's just me.

for some reason everyone i've talked to about AEM ems's said they're just way overpriced and less tuneable than ms. idk why though

It depends on what they're trying to compare. AEM and MS both offer an array of different ECU's with different feature sets. MS2 and EMS4 are about on the same level, limited in features and I/O. MS3X 1.1 and V2 are both rich in scalability and I/O. There are some things MS3X has to offer that V2 doesn't have and vice versa. Feature-for-feature the MS costs less, unless you need auto trans control. V2 has that built in where MS3X is an add-on module. Then it costs about the same. Regardless, the AEM has a bit more scalability than MS3X, so the claim that AEM is less tunable than MS is a bit absurd.
