build looks great!

got to see your manifold in person a couple of weeks ago and was amazed and how nice you aluminum welds were. What tig welder are you using? I'm in the market for one right now.

From Mikes header post, looks like you got the tig welding skilz... I use a Miller Syncrwave 250 for everything and a Millermatic 211 for my alum and ms wirefeed stuff.

I should have a pic of my collector and DP adapter today.

Got a few more things done today. First...got the 68 Datsun Fairlady im installing a KA24 motor in moved to a neighbors garage for a few weeks while I tweek on the 940. SO it sounds like this weekend Ill start the EFI swap.

And a few pics of the turbo. Its as far as I can go till i get the head done or the block gets here so I can build the header. Ill pull the cold side off and port it a little.....give this little guy the best chance it can have! I did get the oil pan so i can start on the pan mods for the upright conversion.

And I got my IAT and the MAP sensor for the SD swap in the V3 software.

Holy not the turbo id chose for this, you are going to be wanting more quick. Would be a fun turbo on a 300whp 8v but you are going to run out of turbo very quickly in this app. Also I didn't think those GM map sensors ecu input quality?

I picked the turbo because the boys English Racing made 453whp with one.....I know its small, but a bigger unit will bolt up in its spot.....and I would like to make a progression and not dump myself into a ton of lag.....kind of want to feel this one out. And since I have not screwed it up.....it will sell easily on the dsm boards.

This car is my daily driver that totes my family around too....so going gung hoe will be cool, but being a very quick street car is its first prioity!

And that GM map sensor is what is recomended on the ECMTuning site......

Oh nice, is that a 68HTA? I assumed it was a run of the mill evoIII 16g which would be cute but small. There are other turbos that will bolt on but you are going to pay a premium over a t3 flanged equivalent.

Im not sure if its a 68HTA or not. Aaron sold me the turbo....slightly used at about 20 hours in a small disp application for a really great price. Ill see how it feels...responds and Dynos. Ill have more motor than turbo so i know thats where the restriction will be when I get unhappy with it.

If you don't know (you didn't spend 1k on a 16g) then its not haha. I play with 16g turbos all day long, they are a nice solid 300whp turbo but its defiantly not a 400whp turbo. Everyone reads about Curt Brown or English racing and then become disappointed in their 300whp number (which is a fair number for the turbo imho). At least you have the bottom end to deal with the low end power you are going to make.

Got my gaskets today...topend 16v and bottom end 8v in Elring.
Also got my VS1632 valve springs from Yoshi Fab....Thanks Josh....your swag is pretty cool too.
And I got the cold side of the turbo ported today.....things are all coming together.

And I wonder what I can do with this....

clean it and hope for the best:-P

also, that's a teenie turbo:lol: what are your goals again?

Well...I have plans for that pan!....Ill post pics as it gets complete. My goals are bigger than this turbo
Some DSM guys are getting mid 3's with it....English has topped it at 453.....wont know till i hit the dyno......and in general how the car feels.

Nathan I'm not sure if you are aware, but the oil pan from a B20 bolts on to the B230 and originally came upright. I'm sure your modifications are going to be badass though so I'm not going to stop you, just sharing the info :)
