You know, the kind '70s hot rodders might have used to clear tires too wide for the car.
I've seen a thread or three (older) on this, but the supply of shocks / kits specifically for the 7/9 seems to have dried up. I'm hoping someone might know of a suitable substitute.
Not that it matters, but to (hopefully) avoid this query from going sideways, I'm noting the following:

Not that it matters, but to (hopefully) avoid this query from going sideways, I'm noting the following:
- I don't want to raise my rear even one MM. My car sits just right, by my tastes. I want to keep it that way for when the car is fully loaded (camping trips, mainly). I have the dual situation where I get minor liner rub when I really push the car, and I've a projector retrofit, and need to temporarily adjust the headlight aim if I can't keep the car level.
- I'm aware that ride and handling will suffer, though that's ostensible as my current shocks are old. Handling isn't my prime concern, and I'm willing to see for myself about the ride. Shock replacement is easy enough.
- I'm also aware there are / used to be air bags that fit inside the rear coils, but again, they also seem to be NLA. If I'm wrong, I'd love to be corrected
- Lastly, I get that overload springs would be the most appropriate solution, but not of interest to me.
