Are these injectors too big for my build ?

I have a pretty basic build,

19t ipd cam 3 inch exhuast 531 head chips ect

Currently have 470cc injectors installed (Astra vxr injectors)

But am having a lean condition under boost. No vac leaks, tried a different set of chips, no codes ect

I want to try Siemens deka 630/650 cc injectors

I know from reading and calculators they are “too big “ hence why I went with the Bosch 470s to begin with

But I need more fuel, is this an appropriate solution ?

How much boost are you running? s60R injectors which are 468cc, are known to be good for at least 15-16psi and a 19t. Are the injectors you have the Right impedance? You can use the injectors, but will need a custom tune

I haven’t gone over 10psi of boost yet as I can’t get it to enrichen

S60R injectors are 2cc less than the astra vxr injectors, VXR injectors are more commonly used here in the uk as we can get them easily.

The chip tune is set for these injectors, high impedance - but I’ve used the bypass

There must be something wrong, I'm running 12 psi with s60r and a tune for them and 3" maf, and don't have any issue. have your injectors been flow tested?

No flow testing, I bought them brand new. I am questioning their authenticity now tbh. I paid £150 for the set of 4. Came in genuine bosh packaging ect

Ebay worries me, get them flow tested to confirm them

Stock injectors and stock tune can do 10psi, so something is wrong

I was tempted to take things back to stock and change things once at a time rather than all together

I.e leave all the turbo and cam ect. But take injectors, maf, and chips back to stock. Run it at 10psi and check afrs, if they are good then we know the issue is in one of the upgraded parts ect

I ran deka 60lbs for a bit and they did work but made LH struggle a bit regulating lambda at idle and very low loads. LH does 2 squirts per cycle which pushes 60lb injectors too far into the low pulsewidth non-linear area, which it doesn't handle particularly well in my opinion. Either way you need chips calibrated for that size of injector.

Do this.

those are only rated at that flow rate at a higher psi. they do not keep up at 3 bar and even a stock R turbo on a b230ft, at elevated boost levels.

deka's are generally decent injectors, but they're not bosch, they're siemens. I would not expect them to come in bosch packaging. that would be a red flag for me. at any rate, legit 650's at 3bar is fine on non-e85 for a 19t

I also don't generally leave my tuning up to the whims of some random old maf and random chips. so.... ymmv

I think OP is saying that they currently have bosch 470s that came in bosch packaging

Late reply sorry

There really isn’t any other option … no one in the uk tunes lh2.4.

They’re not random chips, they are written specifically for a 19T or similar with 470cc injectors and a 3 inch maf.

They are as close as I can get without going standalone. I drive a Volvo 940, it’s not a weekend car or project, it is my car. I do not have the money to throw at a standalone and tune. I’m just tryna have some fun with it

Also finding anyone decent willing to install a standalone and actually tune one of these in the uk, and give you some form of decent warranty or customer service … good luck

Yeah they were off eBay, see attatched

They are probably counterfeit. Your attached picture shows writing in poor English. It is likely just some Chinese knockoff junk you bought.

eBay supports selling counterfeit products. I got a perfect looking fake Bosch item, in perfect looking Bosch packaging. I made a report, they closed the case the next day. Another slap in the dick was I had to take time out of my day to go mail the item back with the provided shipping label in order to get my money back. They also took down my negative feedback. They know counterfeit items are being sold on their site.

Did the packaging include a Bosch hologram sticker with a code? The code on my item didn't match up, and I entered it on the Bosch website and it confirmed it was a counterfeit item.

I no longer buy car parts off eBay. If the price is too good to be true, it is.

I'd vote for counterfeit as well, however depending on the tune and tuner, from first hand experience tuning 2.4, getting them to consistently go rich under boost is a real challenge. Even now sometimes mine is good, sometimes not.

As for the original question, I was running #65 Siemens on pump and E85 for years without an issue. I bumped up to 80's now, still no issue, but I am also running a 3" MAF and a tune for this setup. I have also upgraded to a 320LPH pump to make sure there's enough volume available.

warranty? lol. anyway, customer service is a separate issue, and if you have qualms about installing it yourself it's even more in the weeds I suppose.
