So this thread wont be as long or detailed as my other thread. I'd recently picked up a 1990 740 turbo wagon. Same red as my sedan. I forsee myself working on stage 0 with the wagon and letting the sedan sit, while I gather the t5 swap parts. My girlfriend hates the sedan but loves the wagon, so I want to get it daily-able first
There were a few issues with the wagon I discovered upon getting it home. It's got a pretty good oil leak. I think it's coming from the rear cam seal but haven't torn into that yet. Also the speedo wasnt working, along with the odometer and it had a hunting idle. another immediate issue was I couldn't hear the throttle sensor click every time it went closed. The last immediate issue was a lack of radio suppression relay, along with the mount for it.
Junkyard trip ensued!
I managed to get a hockey stick chassis braces from an S90, the rsr bracket from a 91 740, a long with the speed sensor in the diff (since my wiring seems ok without digging into it too much) and finally the rear sway bar brackets.
I got home and installed the rear sway and speed sensor. Haven't tested them out yet. I'll get to the hockey sticks and rsr tomorrow
