Back with another redblock

Here is how the old girl is currently sitting. Not much to report at this point other than getting the clutch pedal installed, but more on the below.

In the last picture with the m47 swap parts, the turbos are a 19t bolted to a 90+ manifold with kinugawa braided lines and do88 silicone lines. Notice the incomplete downpipe also bolted to it and a 3" 45° bend to be welded on next. Sitting next to all of that is the hx35w I recently bought

So on to the clutch pedal. I was doing some research and found where it was mentioned that the 90+ cars come factory equipped with the bracket for the clutch pedal. I pulled off the kick panel and at a glance, confirmed this to be true. I thought it would be as easy as unbolting the pedal from the bracket I have sitting, and bolting it on the cars current bracket. My car, of course, wasn't so easy. You see, on my bracket it had a module (I'm leaning towards ABS controller) riveted to the side of it, blocking the bolt hole. I had to unbolt my bracket, and remove the module, insert the bolt, reinstall the module and plug it in, slide the clutch pedal over the bolt, and then wrestle the whole assembly into place. Definitely not easy, but if I can do it I'm sure anyone else on here could. After that adventure, I looked at the brake pedal and it memory serves me correct, the ECU is riveted to that bracket and blocking the bolt hole as well. I very well might just cut and inch off the left side of the brake pedal and call it a day. Like I said, I'll put eyes up there one more time before commiting, but if it's much harder to swap pedals, I will cut it.

The headliner was trash in the car since I bought it, so it has been removed completely. That has gotten the girlfriends approval, but the whole m47 swap I'm still trying to convince her lol.

Finally, I believe my turbo might be shot, or my wastegate hole may be cracked. I'm kind of leaning towards the wastegate. I was noticing before that I was lagging pretty bad. It would build boost, but I wouldn't get that kick from the boost hitting until 3200-3500 rpm. I went ahead and tapped on the wastegate upwards where the wastegate puck is attached. I've heard of them popping out of place. Since doing that boost is still laggy like before, but before I'd hit about 13-15 and fade to about 10-12. Now it seems like I hit 10psi and it fades down to around 6-7psi by redline. I've checked the turbo before and it has no shaft play surprisingly.

Tomorrow morning I will be getting to the junkyard to grab the m47, slave cylinder and hard line, and clutch and flywheel bits. I am honestly considering just running the NA clutch and reverting back to no MBC, just running the wastegate. I know I should get a turbo clutch new and use that, however I'm cheap, and a glutton for punishment. I know I'll have to remove the trans again soon with the NA clutch, I'm just hoping for it to last long enough to get a stouter trans and bits to swap it in. A new turbo clutch kit would cost more than this entire swap has. I'd love to be driving down the road with the m47, and have the whole swap cost less than 300$. I feel like that would be a cool story to tell for years to come
 
Well, I grabbed the rest of the swap today. 170$ for the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, and the transmission itself. All in im currently at 270$ for the entire swap. I'll have to clean the transmission and get some pictures of it
 

I tried looking up what the thickness is stock. The answer I ended up with is that stock brand new is 8mm thick, and I can wear down to 3mm before needing to be replaced. This one is showing 7mm. If what I just posted is all correct, I'm really leaning towards just sending it with this clutch honestly
 
Other than the above pic, everything is seeming good. I will end up getting new shifter bushings (I lost the ones at the junkyard), and a pilot retaining ring as I forgot to grab it. The pilot bearing came apart and left the inner race on the input shaft. I'll remove it and get a new pilot bearing. Also need a drain plug as it's missing
 

And here are the kickers. These are on the inside of the bellhousing. They are much deeper than the outside ones were. I won't even touch these. Too many cracks for my blood, and I imagine to get all these cracks welded, I won't be far off from buying a better condition one. Will be sent for the time being
