BNE suspension questions

so, i plan on LS2 swapping my 244. as a result, i really want to get my suspension and chassis dialed in as i plan on pushing decent numbers out of the motor eventually. BNE has been really calling my name, and i’ve got a bit of a shopping cart built up that i would like y’all to grade based on your own experiences with them. intent with this vehicle is a relatively “comfortable” streetable build that can be taken to the track with moderate success.

1. 240 front coil overs with koni race shocks, paired with v5 adjustable strut mounts

2. adjustable sway bar links, torque rods, and panhard bar.

3. V3 spherical axle bearings

4. Eaton detroit truetrac diff

5. rear coilover conversion trailing arms and mounts, paired with appropriate coilovers

6. Medium brake conversion kit on the front

7. strut brace, relatively sure it can clear the ls2 intake

basically half of their entire catalogue.

Just don't go crazy stiff on the springs. Talk to Ben.

My red 240 is set up like this minus the trutrac, I daily it. It's comfortable enough. You definitely feel the road more but potholes aren't a problem. and she sticks yo.

sounds perf. the springs that come with the coil overs work good then? wanting to run 245 front with 275-285 rears (gonna do some fender shenanigans to fit them after i learn a good bit of welding and metal working).

I started with 300 fronts. koni race struts and shocks. 250 rear rates.
I switched to 400 fronts. same koni race struts and shocks with 250 rear rates.
28mm front sway and stock turbo rear sway. 245/40 17s all around.

Suspension settings, and comfort are all relative to you, what you like, what your tire profile is, and your road conditions. Over here is SoCal, we have everything from decent highways, to rough potholed, miss aligned bridges/street connections. The car responds very well to most of the roads surfaces. Just don't hit potholes and kill your rimps.

I personally do not like driving those comforter settings / posh Cadillac setups. I like a tighter suspensions. This set up is not jarring either. The car is very compliant, and to me, it's also very comfortable.

colorado roads are pretty similar from this description. i wanna keep ride height stock ish but lower it enough to have the better handling results.

what’d you do for wheel fitment? what tires? how well does it hang onto the road?

i somewhat enjoy the stock suspension, sloshy as it is. but the best feeling when driving is holding a fast (for a volvo) turn, with which the current suspension gives me anxiety.

OP, do you have a set of ipd swaybars? If you like the stock height and feel but want it “tighter” and improve feeling when hitting a corner the ipd bars are a good place to start for not much $.

might not be a bad idea. still debating on going stock front strut height or shortened, so i think this would be a great starting point.
