C30 Seats into 940

I'm getting ready to start this swap. I have a set of black manual buckets from a C30. My 940 ds power seat isn't working. Aside from the ds leather being pretty smoked, it also doesn't move. It has power going to to it, but makes only clicking noises and doesn't engage the motors.

If anyone has done this swap, or has a link to someone who has, please lmk. I realize this is not a direct bolt in. I'm capable of some fabrication work in my shop.

and i've searched the web and chatgpt for days and came up with nothing expect a few posts stating it has been done.

A member here put C30 seats into a 240, IIRC. I'll try to remember the thread, and post back. Not that 240 tracks are the same (I really don't know, but assume not), but he may be willing to share how he did it, so you have an idea of what you're in for.

Well guys, I ended up going another route. I ended up swapping my passenger seat and the drivers seat. The seats are fully interchangeable, in every way.

The drivers seat is now adjustable. The passenger seat is fixed in place.

What I did with the power seat that didn't work right is I cut the harness back until I go to the point that I had just power wires to each motor. I bolted the seat in and powered them up using pigtails and set it to a position that gave me (6ft) enough leg room and the back rest to a comfortable angle.

There is one trick to the swapping the power seats. The holes are mirrored side to side, BUT, they are staggered. This is easy to deal with in the case of a manual seat. You pull the track level and slide one side fore or aft. With the power seat, you'll need to unbolt the right side gear mechanism. It's two 10mm bolts and move the track manually, the reinstall.

That's it, the trim, seat belts, etc, all interchangeable.

Sounds like you were recently messing with different sliders, so maybe you can answer. Do you think it would be possible to use a passenger side slider on the driver's side. More specifically a manual one? It looks like there are mounting holes on both sides of the rail, and maybe the adjuster and seat belt receiver can be swapped to the other side.

Did you not try to fix the driver's seat? I know the cable that drives the fore/aft movement is a common failure point and was still available from Volvo a few years ago. Also, you can get replacement seat upholstery and recover them.

Admittedly not. Don't really want to. Would rather got manual because racecar. I went to the pick and pull today, I swear the car there had electric drivers and manual passenger side so I was going to play around with it, but turns out the driver side was manual. I just grabbed the whole seat
