Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) for B230FK into Volvo 240

Speed signal is very clean. Cost of everything pretty low (sensor + connector $50, aluminum components $30). In black, everything is now also quite inconspicuous. I'm still considering integrating the sensor into the OEM cover.

Looking to add a camshaft sensor myself and this looks very neat, how did u end up doing it with the marking on the cam wheel, so the sensor could pick it up?

I have drilled an M6 thread into a web of the camshaft sprocket and use a screw (a more suitable one than in the picture ... ;)). It is even easier in an adjustable camshaft sprocket. I would change all but one screw to stainless steel. Then you have the same effect and it is well balanced.

I used the 60-2 flywheel crank sensor as bobxyz suggests along with an old block mounted lh2.2 hall sensor distributor… cut off 3 of 4 teeth and positioned the remaining tooth to cross the sensor at tdc… that gave me my 2nd trigger for sequential ignition… granted, still needed the 240 aux shaft.
This is what I did on a 16v conversion I did. 60-2 flywheel and then the block mount lh2.2 distriburor with 3 of the windows cut out
