This is nothing! which is why I'm actually fixing it and not just staring at it wondering where to even start.
This and the butt cheek are the only real issues that can't be ignored.

Still learning, but I recreated this panel and finished it up. Still needs some seam sealer, but it should look alright when the wheel well gets some spray liner of some sort.
Also I feel like I'm fighting my welder a bit, its an older Hobart 140 and its been acting a little weird lately.

Another solid bit of progress. Improving a little.

Got the lower fender looking decent. There was already a repair there and about 1/4" of bondo, so I guess I'm going to have to readd that unfortunately.
Onto the buttcheek! I knew this was going to take me awhile. But I managed to get something in and good enough for me! Welding will be interesting in some places.

Finished up the welding today. Is it pretty? Ehh. Is it done? yep. Bring on the bondo and seam sealer. TBH I didn't think it would even look this good, so I'm happy with it.
Couple of small ones to finish up. Then ignore the rest get the car back together.

Knocked another couple out. The gas filler net pass through was messed up, made a new piece.
Then this piece under the rear passenger window. so I removed the single screw the holds the window in (lol) and got cutting. I took my time with this one, was kind of nervous cutting the actual body.
Happy with how it turned out. Still needs some bondo.
Then his frame rail piece had a hole. I think it has a drain hole here normally? I have the whole piece that a bought new, but I gave both away by accident I can get one back, but I think ill just patch it.

Welcome back to Sean's sheet metal hell. Found a small hole in the floor. Promise its not scope creep. Just going to do it TB style and patch it. The whole pan will probably need to be replaced at a later date so this will be good enough.

Then that let me finish up the bottom. Its solid and no more hole but again not pretty. Will pass safety though.
There are still a couple holes in the cross beam, It should be replaced at some point but its still pretty solid. I have a replacement somewhere

Probably one more day of sheet metal and welding, then I can clean the shop because its a metal and rust dusty mess.
The rear bumper mount holes will be next. They don't look too difficult and I don't need to lay down and drop weld splatter on my clothing and skin, so that will be nice.

I think it should get the commando bumper but honestly whatever fits and gets it road legal sooner.
FUN! Started late today, so I didn't get it finished, needs one small piece on the driver side next to the bumper mount to make it look right.
Ran out of M8 Nuts, so I made my own weld nuts.
Just need a patch a few holes that were made removing the mounts.
I hope the bumper goes back on!

Finished up the rest of the welding today. Perfect because I'm basically out of gas.
Also my OG license plate lights are kind of messed. Don't have time to find new ones, so I made this adapter for some generic lights from amazon - https://amzn.to/4h1i5vQ

Had a member send me a couple of these inner bearing dust shield, since they're hard to find and any around here are just pure rust and/or disintegrated. Also expensive(can't remember what site had them)
I wonder how hard it would be to form them, they're not super complicated.
Did a scan on my scanner.
Did some CADing again.
Made a couple forms, going to try 3d printing them, if they blow up, maybe ill machine a set to have.
Finally started on the front end stuff. Got the bearings in, brakes on one side. Finally got some tie rod boots that fit after two sets from IPD and FCP both didn't fit(probably my fault). I think the ones I got from rock auto that fit are the short ones for both sides, so they probably won't last long. Oh well.
Also, angled the license plate light back 15 degrees. Should be good now.

Just a quick test trying to form that part. I think I know what went wrong, but pretty cool, its not even 100% infill.

Nice shape on the top, but this is where I went wrong. I was thinking the flat surface would be nice to contain the part and keep it straight, and then cut it off after it was pressed, but I realized it doesn't allow for the forming of the second flat on the bottom without severe deformation. I will try it the proper way where I will cut the large circle first, and rest it on the form. This will allow the walls to expand instead of stretching. I think I can make it work. I could still machine it as a fun afternoon project if I'm feeling up to it.

Playing the parts waiting game again. Rear wheel bearing kits, differential seal, rear spring seats... So working around that stuff. Decided to put the rear axle in anyway and will do the axle stuff with it installed.
I pulled the axles and cover, was just going to reuse the bearings, but waiting on parts anyway so I decided to not do that...
See I can have fun. Not just all black and grey.
Brake lines in.
Got the front end all button up. These steering rack bellows won't last long. The ones from rock auto were finally the right diameter(the large size for the rack housing) but they're the short ones, so at lock they're super stretched. I literally ordered pairs from FCP, IPD, and rock auto, only the rock auto ones fit my CAM rack.
Read end is mostly together, forgot to get a pic. Hopefully stuff arrives soon.
