Chips + 012 MAF = Hesitation

So I have recently changed my setup from a 016 to 012 MAF + added a tune and for the most part the engine performs well but I have noticed a couple of differences in performance from my previous setup

The engine

B230FT on Lh2.4
Stock intake
3" DP exhaust.
New Bosch 0280155968 green injectors
IPD turbo cam
Bosch 3 bar FPR
19T
used 012 MAF
Redblock powered stage #2 tune

The condition

Car starts fine idles at stoich +/- 0.2 AFR's, Accelerates well, from a stand still I hit 18 lbs of boost AFR's are in the mid to high 10's / low 11's
Cruising at level with little throttle input AFR's are between 13.8 & 15.2, It seems to have a hard time zoning in to where it should be.

Passing is where my primary problem lies. Under hard acceleration from 50/80 mph/kph boost comes on hard and most of the time is hesitates / cuts out for an instant. If I roll into the throttle a little slowly this problem doesn't appear it only occurs with a hard / WOT condition in passing. It almost feels like I hit a boost cut or something to that effect. Sudden loss of power then it comes on strong again.

I checked for boost leaks and found a few small ones around the FPR and IAC hoses, nothing to get in a twist over.

Post 164 of my build thread show the air filter set up I have which worked fine with my 855 injectors and 016 MAF and my previous tune with the exception of a lean / ping on throttle tip in https://www.turbobricks.com/index.php?threads/smoothys-242-turbo-build.292243/page-9#post-6275055

Curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar, and how did the remedy it? It seems to go pig rich in this condition like sub 10 AFR's!. I have my suspicions about the MAF and was thinking of building my own 3" from the know good 016 I have.

Looking at your intake path, I would suggest getting a piece of straight tube to test with, I had the same issue. In addition, did you verify the code on the box the injectors shipped in with Bosch, lots of unreliable fakes out there.

Where would I route the pipe? Coupled from the MAF to behind the headlight without an air filter?

The injectors came sealed in these boxes

If your AFR readings are correct, that's close to a point higher than what these PROMs are programmed for.

If you have another fuel pressure regulator, try it.
My current FPR I confirmed it at 3 bar hot idle with vacuum disconnected. I have a adjustable FPR but I can’t confirm if fuel pressure increase is equal to manifold pressure increase as it was originally intended for a 944 turbo

It appears bosch protect is down, but the hologram looks off:

This is how I ran my intake to sort out the issue, 12 inches of straight tube with the MAF in the center is optimal. I had zero issues with a weird intake with the 016, the 012 did however.

I’ve tried a few intake configurations but I am limited on space to get a 12” straight pipe with Maf before the intake.

Did you run you intake set up on a 740 or is that a 240?

Putting a bit of straight behind the maf might help, looking at your lengths you might be able to fit at least 2.5 inches of straight on either end
I'll try it but I need another coupler or split the one I have. I did take if for a drive today and man, it pulls like a mule off the line. I almost forgot about the issue. Then I rounded a corner and I was in 3rd, low RPM high load and pop! loss of power for an instant. So close!
