Clutch cable nut keeps backing off

As the tittle says… my cable adjuster nut keeps backing off and I have to re-tighten it every month or so.

It’s a 740 cable in a 240 attached to a T-5.

It’s a newer plastic one because my old one snapped.

Anyway to solve this? Is there a locking sleeve or something?

Or is my cable slowing stretching to eventually snap again… hence a hydronic throw-out bearing being a necessity.

Clean the two parts and paint a line on them to see if the adjustment is actually baking off. I wouldn't be surprised if the cable is stretching and wearing into the housing. Other folks on here have had this issue with the new plastic cable housing design.

Rubber hose split lengthwise, then a hose clamp or three...

I see this is common enough that hose clamps are involved…

Can’t (wont) double-nut because I despise going under a car on jack-stands… short story. Saved my buddy from his Firebird crushing him.

Hose and clamps it is.

Thanks
