I like wagons better, but that is a cool 244. What made the decision? Can't someone else use the 244?

Marino’s?found one shop that would install cam bearings.... 700 dollars is what they wanted, which is insane
Yea. Shit is expensive now days. Wait time was almost a month as well. My parts guys called for me so maybe some lines got crossed there but that was extremely unreasonable. However went to my buddies machine shop and it was 150 to polish a crankshaft which is insane to me. I tried to figure out if I could mount it on my dads lathe but the it would smack it pretty bad. I measured and blueprinted the bottom end though and threw a super Richie cam in it and I’m just about ready to reassemble. The aluminum 5.3 I’m going to build up with a nice rotating assemblyMarino’s?
yep pretty crazy now days tbh, and the wait time is insane. if we do inframe rebuilds at work, if they are started on monday they are expected to be out by thursday. Machine shops take forever to get shit done and constantly make excusesYeah between labor costs and parts costs, building a decent engine for my hobby stock at Marino’s is well past the cost of just getting a 602 crate

It's not only your local engine machine shop, they're not much better over here. I was gonna do a rod/piston 6.0L and costs were gonna be $3000-3600...
Dudley Do Right’s Speed & MachineI really need to switch over to engine machinist instead of engineering. Hours are better, less stress, and I'm pretty sure the pay is higher
