Hey, everyone. I just ordered one of the kl racing intake plenums for my 242. I am running maxxecu sport. What's a junkyard throttle body and padal k can use? Or at least the pedal. Is Bosch the way to go on the throttle bodies? I can buy new, but who doesn't like to save money. Thanks.

Some 90's Mercedes' have a throttle cable but it goes to a dummy throttle body that is just a potentiometer, I've been wanting to see someone use one in a swap.

We installed one of those Mercedes sensors on my brother's 242. It's mounted down by the frame-rail on the driver's side using the stock bracket. It's been on the car since 2019 or so. Works perfectly.

What would that accomplish? I drive a prius as my daily beater, the pedal feels real its just made to not respond as fast. You can of course modify that to your liking.

I'm using a Bosche from a Volvo that Xemodex rebuilt/upgraded. I am going to use a hella or Volvo pedal and I got an adapter from a guy in Sweden that made a run of them. Pretty simple thing.

Some people may find it easier or better to retain the factory pedal, it's up to you. The factory 240 cruise control operates off of the pedal.
no need for that, cruise control is done by the ECU in his setup

now we are talking

I got a 2005 V50 70mm electronic throttle body and the pedal off of a 2012 V60 from the junk yard that I'm using. I've got the throttle body all wired up and working, for the pedal I'm only using the one analog output and I didn't hook up the pwm. The parts are quite universal and should be on similar Volvo's from those years.
