Diesel swap

What’s the part number stamped on the outside of the oil pump?
I’m curious if it’s the same pump used on the 6 cylinder D24.
 
I can check this for you at the end of the week, but I think they are slightly different even if they look very similar.

If you already checked the switches, relay, wiring, it has to be the heating element matrix in the cushion.

Was the water really coming in up from below the floor pan?
 
Then check door seals and especially rear side windows, they are not glued in with normal window glue, rather some kind of butyl that is always pliable...

Finally I just quickly weld the rear floor just to make it waterproof. Drilled a hole in the center for the moment to let the water evacuate, I will check this water infiltration later.

This is what it looks like from behind, I'm just going to put some grease on it for the moment, so it can't rust no more. Not the good way to do but I'm too tired of body repairs for the moment and in a hurry cause I have to leave the garage soon.

And Finally, all the interior has been installed, it looks nice and tweedy again excepts some details, and I'm really happy to have a 740 with a M90 gearstick!!!

Speaking of winter cold, I just went to a bad experience with my A6 C4 :

So I was looking for a replacement car, and went to see this, I didn't bought it because too much work and I don't have the time. Also it have a Renault engine, and I don't like those... But as I understood there were never imported to the US, and I'm curious to know what american people think about those cars?

Yeah they are still a few of them in France! As I understood they were designed to be exported in the US / Canada but it never happened. Cool car though! A lot of fun stuff in the interior!
