Door handle not working

When I tried opening the door from the outside, something snapped on the inside, im still able to open the door from inside just not from the outside, it looks like something disconnected from the rod (?) that opens the door and the handle, will provide a video soon. this is the driver side door if that detail helps.
 
We don’t need a video. Either the external handle broke or more likely the rod slipped off the handle


You’ll have to take the door panel off either way

It’s a good time to clean and lube everything up. You’ll be surprised how well it all works properly lubed

God damn it, it’s been fine for 32+years and YOU FUKed it!!!

alright, got the door panel off. gonna bother my old man about it now.
 
Two torq screws hold the door handle to the door. Undo them and see if the door handle comes out. There are retaining pins in the door handle that have probably worn out and broken off.

Replacing that little rod with a screw is just about a permanent fix. Depends on how smoothly to door latch is maintained.
