Early 240 doors

Greetings! I recently started to tear down my '78 244, for a full restoration. Wanted to replace the doors with a set of rust free ones, but they have later style locks, so I decided to keep mine. I need an advice on how to remove the chrome pieces on the frames. There's rust under. I can use the spare doors as donors. Also, planning to cut and replace the bottom part, that's rusted. Any tips on that are welcomed as well. Thank you.
