Factory spec 245 roof racks interchangeability?

I'm not too familiar with the factory roof racks (the ones bolted to the roof skin), since they were an option over here, and not many chose that option over here.

Was wondering:
Does the early style (late 70s - early 80s) share the bolt pattern with the newer type?

Anybody tried swapping them over?

I'm not including all the different versions in this statement. I have lined up one of the later black roof racks to see if I could swap it in place of one of the early, tall chrome racks and the placement of the stands was different. I would have had holes in the roof left over.
