Finally some decent hydraulic motor mounts for 7/9 series cars.

Ok so I’m emailing with some people at sigma and they’re going to be speaking with the engineering department to see what’s up. I explained that on the earlier runs you could clearly hear liquid sloshing around whereas the “new” version you can’t. I’ll keep the post updated when I hear back from them but so far they seem to be very responsive. If they give a decent explanation, I figure it might be worth asking for them to export more as many of us are driving around on blown out mounts and could use good mounts.

On a side note: is it possible for motor mounts to still be hydraulic even if you can’t hear liquid sloshing around?

You can only really make audible sloshing happen if there's an air bubble in the liquid. Maybe these new ones are 100% full?
 
I guess I should leave my review:

I installed them about a month ago. They dampen the vibration very well. However, they seem to have more 'give' to them. I may be remembering incorrectly, but the mounts seem to have a slightly taller profile than the other mounts I've used. When I quickly open the throttle from under the hood, the engine definitely moves back and forth more than I've seen from other mounts. With this and the fact that I've noticed they're made in India, I wonder if they will prematurely fail. Time will tell.
 
surprisingly, I got an email from sigma this afternoon and they were quite thorough in explaining the improvements made to the mounts. They sent me a picture of the mount as a cutaway and a video of the mount being filled with oil on the assembly line so they are still hydraulic mounts. According to the email they are filled with more hydraulic oil so no sloshing will be heard on the new mounts. Sigma really went above and beyond with my questions. I will post the video and picture as soon as I figure out how to do so.

If these prove reliable, we should circle the 7/9 wagons and get a group (large) buy together. Manufacturing loves volume runs.
 
I use the STSmachining 3rd mount in all my cars. it adds a bit of vibration but removes basically all the stress from the oem mounts. I doubt I will ever need to change my current 940 solid mounts with my current setup

maybe sts can make a mount setup that works in unison with their 3rd mount. something that uses off the shelf rubber pucks so we can replace easily
 
The issue with current 7/9 engine mount offerings isn't durability or reliability, but dampening. For a daily driver/road tripper, most stuff is way too harsh.

this whole time I thought you guys wanted a mount that lasts a long time lol. just drive something newer than 40 years old

Good idea. I did let them know that demand for good quality mounts was there for the 7/9 series cars. I hope they’ll send more for the next production run which seems to be in progress. It’s just crazy that they don’t send more than a dozen or so at a time.
