Free VE Table Corrections — Drop Your MSQ and a Datalog, I'll Do the Rest

Tried a VEMS-exported .msq just for fun. It gets as far as “Architecture: Unknown” and then chokes. Not surprising, but I had to try :)

Yep. Life comes first. (y)
About to head out for a cruise with the new VE table.

just as an FYI it was saved as a text file. I put it in my tune by hand because its a pita to do most simple things on my tuning computer. I use a Microsoft surface. The touchscreen gui is stupid for right clicking and save as tyoe of stuff.

I had no idea that you had issues, anything going forward i will place in the tune file for you. Any way you can upload the .msq you used to log? I just want to make sure that all the number were typed in correct, no big deal if not. And 2.5 hour drive is parsed pretty quick, I have actually started to build in Mat correction awareness into the tool, it will be a good test for that.

no issues. I’m just letting you know. If you want this to be a tool for people to use I feel like it should spit out importable data.

Let me grab my current msq

I will say I think this is working better than the auto tune did.
Hell yeah it does, I am gonna make a compilation of screen shots of people who are happy with the results. There are quite a few. I have over a year into this tool and a ton of time and money invested... There are quite a bit more. I am actually in the middle of applying another update to the tool. May or may not get a new .msq tonight, depends on how late I stay up.review.PNG

Could this be adapted to pulse width instead of VE?

The Performance Electronics ECU uses a PW table. This is the ECU in my Son’s 07k swapped porsche 944

Should be no issue, I coded it with RE-Ex patterns for just that to make this adaptable across multiple setups and tools. The math is there it is just a matter of what each tool/tune names each data set.

I do not even have to ask you if that last .msq / fuel table treated the car good, you would not be asking this if it was bad. Glad the tool helped your car run better, and thanks for allowing the chance.

Edit: Send the tune and a couple logs, if it has EGO or similar make sure that it is enabled. even if he does not use it I'd like to see it in the logs. Plus, that is one of the main things that I track in logs is the PW so this is very familiar with me.

It might take a while to get a log. He works for SpaceX now and doesn’t have a lit of time to tinker with cars.

But I’ll try to get him to do it

Hell yeah kinda my goal to get it working on multiple platforms. And good for him hope he enjoys it , seriously a good job you actually like is pretty rare. (y)

If you want I'll make another pass on your car, just got done with another update pretty sure I have wide band lag or lambda delay as tuner studio calls it pretty much nailed down. Whenever on either.

Here's like a five minute log fully warmed up using the latest VE Map. All I had time for today.

Car is running great btw!

Hell yeah, told you you'd like it. I think two more passes, still trying to nail down the Heat Soak counter... I think I am close, that is the thing with tuning a hot car it will read leaner than it really is, that is why dyno shops use big fans and some put ice on the intake while they tune...

Will take a look Later on this afternoon.

You want hot?

I've been having an issue with the chassis ground in the left front of the car. Sometimes the left front headlight is dim, and more importantly my E-fan stops running! So I was running some errands and the fan quit. Got it pretty hot, but no boiling over. I also stopped at Home Despot and the CLT came down but the IAT shot way up while I was shopping.

Anyway. Ambient temp was around 92-95 depending on how much concrete....

Yeah I worked in Texas for a while, painting the Texas Rangers Stadium, the first couple weeks I didn't think I was gonna make it, people have no idea the heat... lol

Edit: looking things over this will be a good comparison for what I am doing, kinda in and out so not sure when you will get a new msq
